Today
Insights opens on Today. Mello’s panel says how many things need you, the same number as the Inbox badge, then counts HR requests, drafts, re-checks and Pulse actions, each opening the Inbox.
Below come Mello’s suggestion for what to turn on next and At a glance: what Mello handled this month and Culture’s four rates, each opening the Culture page.
Until setup is finished, Today shows the steps left; afterwards the checklist stays under Settings, Setup. Until something is published, Today leads with adding your handbook and skips the tiles.

Culture at a glance
Culture opens on Mello’s headline: whether your vital signs are warmer, cooler or steady against the 90 days before. It also says how many things in your Inbox need you, the same number as its badge.
Under it are this week’s numbers and Ask Mello about your culture.
Today lists what needs you, one line and one button each: your Inbox count first, then new hires who asked for help. Mello’s recommendations follow, such as a new hire with no buddy or a department nobody has thanked lately.
Not now hides one for 90 days. Good news beside it shows recent praise, steps that worked and upcoming shared anniversaries.
Vital signs are four 90-day numbers, each with its change and a weekly line when the numbers moved. They are eNPS with Pulse participation, Recognized (share of people thanked), Across teams (share introduced to another team) and Check-ins (share of new hires’ check-ins answered).
Each vital sign opens its Insights tab.
HR requests sits under them, for the same 90 days: requests with a weekly line, median first reply, share within your response target, and how many wait on HR now. Waiting opens the Inbox; the other tiles and All figures open the full request figures.
Where to improve is a heatmap of every department of 7 or more people. It shades Pulse, Thanked and Met other teams by how far each sits under the company, furthest behind first.
Each row offers the step for its weakest area, such as Give praise, plus Ask Mello, and Detail breaks the row down further.
Playbooks in flight shows your four busiest playbooks, with people who need help first. Your company shows headcount over twelve months, the biggest departments, groups and average tenure, each linking to People.
Groups count only with 7 or more people, so no figure about a group points at one person. What Mello handled comes last, described below.

What Mello handled
What Mello handled, at the foot of the Culture page, shows this week, this month or all time. It counts questions answered from Knowledge and how many needed no HR, HR requests prepared, onboarding messages, praise tied to values and app actions run for administrators.
Time saved multiplies answered questions by the number you enter under Minutes a typical HR question takes you. Until then the tile stays empty.

The HR digest
The HR digest sends these numbers to administrators and HR responders every week, two weeks or month. It has every program with its change since the last digest (↑ 4 pts), what needs you and a suggested next step, totals only.
HR responders who don’t administer the workspace get only the requests waiting on them.
Set it up under Settings → Notifications → HR digest: how often, the day and time, whether to send a note when nothing happened, and optionally a private Slack channel. Show the digest under Preview draws the last one. Each recipient picks email or Slack.

Mello’s culture nudges
Mello also points out culture gaps in a group, each with one action. Examples: a department nobody has thanked in six weeks (Give praise) or a new hire with no buddy (Pick a buddy). Two departments Connections hasn’t introduced lately get a cross-team round.
They lead the HR digest, sit on Today and join Mello’s top three on Culture. Each names a department or counts new hires, never a person, and departments count only at 7 or more people. Not now hides one for 90 days.
Insights in each area
Culture brings Praise, Connections, Onboarding and Pulse together. Each area also has its own Insights tab for administrators. Knowledge shows which sources answer and where guidance is missing, Requests the reply and resolve times, and People the headcount, joins and departures.
All show totals; Pulse and Praise only for groups of 7 or more.
