How-to guide

Use Shuffl with Confluence

Connect Confluence to let Mello answer from your documents, and see what Shuffl does with it.

For HR and IT administrators

Have your agent do thisPaste the prompt into Claude Code, Cursor or another agent. It follows this guide over MCP and asks before it changes anything others will see.Show the prompt
Help me with "Use Shuffl with Confluence" in my Shuffl workspace.

1. Read the guide: https://shuffl.ai/docs/markdown/confluence
2. Add Shuffl's MCP server: https://shuffl.ai/api/mcp
Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http shuffl https://shuffl.ai/api/mcp
When the browser opens, choose my workspace and allow the access the guide needs.
3. Work through the steps in order: Answer from Confluence. Do what you can over MCP and tell me which steps only I can do in the browser or in Slack.

Show me what you will change and who it affects, and wait for my yes before publishing, inviting or sending anything.

What Confluence does in Shuffl

If your handbook lives in Confluence, Mello can answer from those pages with a citation. Headings become sections, and a new page version waits for HR’s review.

You need to be a Shuffl workspace administrator, with an administrator in Confluence for the steps there.

Answer from Confluence

  1. On Knowledge → Connections, choose Connect next to Confluence.
  2. In Atlassian account settings, create an API token.
  3. Enter your site, the account email and the token into Shuffl. Shuffl checks it with one read before saving.
  4. Pick pages from a search or paste their links; each is read as a draft for review.
  5. Check the draft’s text, audience and review date, then publish it.

Shuffl reads: Pages. You pick each one, and Shuffl never writes to Confluence.

In Shuffl

  • Mello answers from what you publish, with a citation, to the audience you set.
  • A new version in Confluence becomes a draft for HR to review. The old text stops being used once the change is found.
  • Disconnecting withdraws every document it brought in. The originals stay where they are.

If it stops working

When a source reads Access lost or Sync needs attention, check that the connected account can still open it in Confluence, then choose Check now.

Disconnect and withdraw deletes the stored key and withdraws what it brought in. Drafts, versions and the originals stay.
