# Use Shuffl with Google Drive

## What Google Drive does in Shuffl

Write policies in Google Docs and let Mello answer from them. Shuffl sees only the files you select, and a changed doc waits for HR’s review before Mello uses it.

You need to be a Shuffl workspace administrator, with an administrator in Google Drive for the steps there.

## Answer from Google Drive

1. On Knowledge → Connections, choose Connect next to Google Drive.

2. Sign in with the Google account that can open the documents.

3. Approve access to files you select. Shuffl sees only those files.

4. Pick a document from Drive; it is read as a draft for review.

5. Check the draft’s text, audience and review date, then publish it.

Shuffl reads: Docs, Slides, PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Markdown, HTML, text. You pick each one, and Shuffl never writes to Google Drive.

### In Shuffl

- Mello answers from what you publish, with a citation, to the audience you set.
- A new version in Google Drive becomes a draft for HR to review. The old text stops being used once the change is found.
- Disconnecting withdraws every document it brought in. The originals stay where they are.

## If it stops working

When a source reads Access lost or Sync needs attention, check that the connected account can still open it in Google Drive, then choose Check now.

Disconnect and withdraw deletes the stored key and withdraws what it brought in. Drafts, versions and the originals stay.
